1. Service presentation and publisher
The Billify service (hereinafter the "Service") is a SaaS solution enabling users to:
- upload documents (invoices, expense reports, receipts, etc.);
- analyse them using optical character recognition (OCR) enhanced by artificial intelligence models;
- extract and structure certain data (amounts, dates, suppliers, references…);
- export that data in usable formats (including Excel / CSV).

2. Definitions
- Client / User: any person using the Service (professional or, where applicable, consumer).
- Account: secure personal space enabling access to the Service.
- Subscription: a paid plan providing access to the Service for a defined period.
- Credits: consumption unit (e.g. processed pages) used to measure usage of the Service.
- Documents: uploaded files (PDFs, images, scans…).
- Data: information extracted from Documents (amounts, dates, VAT, etc.).
3. Acceptance and enforceability of the Terms of Use
Accessing and using the Service implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Use. By creating an Account, logging in, or using Billify, the User acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted the Terms of Use without reservation.
If the User does not accept all or part of the Terms of Use, they must refrain from using the Service.
4. Account creation and access to the Service
4.1 Registration
To access all features (subscription management, history, credits…), the User must create an Account and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
4.2 Credentials and security
Credentials (email, password) are strictly personal. The User agrees to keep them confidential and to notify the Publisher if an unauthorised access is suspected.
4.3 Discovery mode
Billify may offer a discovery mode allowing the Service to be tested without account creation, for a limited volume (e.g. a number of free pages). The Publisher may modify or remove this mode at any time.
5. Service description – OCR and AI
Billify uses OCR and AI technologies to analyse Documents and extract certain Data. The User is informed and accepts that:
- results may contain errors, approximations, or omissions;
- the Service does not constitute accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice;
- the User remains responsible for verifying and using the Data.
6. Service availability
The Publisher endeavours to keep the Service accessible 24/7, except for maintenance, updates, or force majeure. Planned interruptions may occur.
7. Financial conditions – Subscriptions and credits
Pricing terms (subscriptions, credits, limits, overages) are described on the Pricing page and/or in the "My subscription" area.
- Amounts are stated in euros (excluding VAT unless otherwise indicated).
- Billing may be handled via a third-party provider (e.g. Stripe).
- Unless stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable.
8. Right of withdrawal (consumer Clients)
If the User is a consumer within the meaning of applicable consumer law, they have a withdrawal period of 14 days from the date of subscription.
For digital services, the User may lose their right of withdrawal if performance of the service began before the end of the statutory period, with their agreement.
9. User obligations
The User agrees to:
- use the Service in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
- not upload any unlawful content or content that infringes third-party rights;
- not attempt to access the Service by means other than the provided interfaces;
- not compromise the security of the Service (viruses, attacks, etc.);
- not use the Service to develop a competing service.
10. Intellectual property
10.1 On the Service
All elements of the Service (software, interface, texts, logos, databases, etc.) are protected and remain the exclusive property of the Publisher or its partners.
10.2 On Documents and Data
The User retains ownership of their Documents. They grant the Publisher a limited licence strictly necessary to host, process, and return results (analysis, export, support, security).
11. Personal data, security and GDPR
The Publisher may process personal data in the course of performing the Service (including data contained in Documents). Processing details are set out in the Privacy policy.
The Publisher implements reasonable security measures (access control, logging, etc.). As no system is infallible, the User is also responsible for the security of their own equipment.
12. Term – Suspension – Termination
The Terms of Use are concluded for an indefinite period from the first use of the Service. The Publisher may suspend or terminate access in the event of a serious breach, abusive use, or security risk.
The User may request deletion of their Account and cancel their subscription in accordance with the procedures provided in their management area.
13. Force majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for a failure caused by a force majeure event within the meaning of applicable law.
14. Liability
The Publisher shall not be liable for indirect damages. The User acknowledges that OCR/AI output may require human verification. The Publisher's liability may be capped, in particular for professionals, at the amount paid during the preceding twelve (12) months, unless mandatory provisions apply to the contrary.
15. Amendments to the Service and Terms of Use
The Publisher may evolve the Service and amend these Terms of Use. In the event of material changes, the User may be notified (email, in-app notification…). Continued use constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law – Disputes
These Terms of Use are governed by French law.
- Professionals: exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of to be completed.
- Consumers: jurisdiction according to applicable legal rules, with the option of mediation.
17. Miscellaneous provisions
- If any clause is deemed null, the remaining clauses continue to apply.
- Failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- These Terms of Use express the entire agreement relating to use of the Service.
